Another day, another "national holiday" to get our mouths watering. Today especially because donuts are kryptonite. You can't say no to them. In fact, there's not one but TWO days of the year dedicated to celebrating these little bites of heaven. Ok, now that that's out of the way, here are some recipes (some healthy, some not) you need in your life — I may or may not be making all of them today:
If you're going to indulge might as well go big, right?
Healthy chocolate donuts. Need I say more?
Samoas (or caramel delights depending on where you're located) are the best Girl Scout cookies don't even try to argue with me on that one.
If you ever find yourself in Austin, TX make sure you hit up Gourdough's. You won't regret it.
When you're craving something a lil fruity these will do the trick.
Pumpkin-anything is a must during this time of the year.
A different take on the traditional donut, this recipe is the perfect blend of savory and sweet.
Lemon and poppyseed are a match made in donut heaven.
If you're a fan of Fall treats (who isn't?) you might want to hop on over here.
Every time I go to Starbucks I end up impulsively buying one of the old-fashioned donuts without fail. They are just too good.
Did someone say peanut butter?
You can never go wrong with caramel and sea salt.
This with a nice toasty cup of coffee equals one perfect morning.
Here's another healthy recipe. Lemon and blueberry are the perfect combo.
Chai Spice Lattes are another obsession of mine. So obviously these had to make the list.
If you've never had a PB&F (Peanut Butter & Fluff) Sandwich you're missing out!
Coconut flour can be a little temperamental, but once you get the consistency right it's so worth it!
Another healthy take on the donut, but still just as delicious.
Yes I already had a poppyseed recipe on the list — but this is orange not lemon, so it's completely different as far as I'm concerned.
You can't have a donut list without adding a red velvet variety.
If eating a donut can help keep my macros on point sign me up!
Fact: I've never had a bad blueberry cake donut in my entire 23 years of existence.
Everything tastes better from made from scratch. So I can only imaging how divine these would be.
